The village of S. Michele is the centre of the municipality

The locality of S. Michele is the centre of the municipality and is situated around 9 chilometres in the south of Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol. This area, wich has got the most castles in Europe, is a perfect place for hikes, the most popular of which are the castle walk and the high path of Appiano.

The village has also got much to offer for those who love shopping. In the centre of S. Michele as well as on different weekly markets in the municipality there is something for every taste.
If you would like to have a break during your shopping tour, just enjoy the relaxing atmosphere in one of the cafés.

S. Michele is also venue for special events. The International horse ride at Pentecost, exhibitions in different castles and residences or wine tastings are only a tiny selection of the wide range of events that the village has to offer.
