Castel d’Appiano: open day

On July 3, every guided tour in the castle is for free.

Since five years in the chapel of Castel d’Appiano, guided tours are offered, but not for free. On July 3, however, these tours will be offered for free on the occasion of the open day. The open day takes place on the Visitation of Mary, as one of the frescoes in the chapel illustrates this scene.

The fresco cycle in the chapel is one of the most beautiful murals in South Tyrol. Beside the “Visitation of Mary”, the “Foolish Virgins” is the most famous fresco in the chapel.
By the way, there is also a restaurant in the Castle, which is really a magic place!
