When autumn draws in it is time for the vintage

When autumn comes, the leaves begin to fall and the forests on the Mendola turn red and green, the farmers in Appiano and Caldaro have got their hands full. The grapes and apples have to be carried into the cellars and consortiums in perfect condition in order to be sold or further processed.

As the amount of apples and grapes is enormous, they have to work very fast.
Within one month, by the end of October, most of the farmers have their work completed.

After a short break, they continue working and start cutting the vines, before the first snow flakes fall.

If you would like to assist in reaping, ask in your accomodation. If he is not a farmer itself, he will for sure know someone who needs a helping hand in harvest season!
