Indoor climbing halls as well as fixed rope routes in the surroundings of Appiano and Caldaro

Also for enthusiastic climbers the landscape has got much to offer. There are for instance numerous fixed rope routes varying in difficulty. Detailled information is available in the tourist information offices.

If you are not a climbing expert or if you prefer indoor climbing, there are also several different possibilities.

Caldaro climbing gym
Location: Rottenburgerplatz in Caldaro. Roofed outdoor climbing wall.

Technical characteristics:
The facility has been completed in 1996, is 13 metres high and 4 metres wide. Complessively the climbing area comprises 52 sqm.

Indoor climbing gym Appiano/S.Michele
Location: in the centre of S. Michele on the Wine Road on the west side of the gym (Raiffeisen hall) and the bowling hall.
Entrance via bowling cafe.

Opening hours:
Tuesday-Thursday: 6 p.m. to 12 p.m.
Saturday: 6 p.m. to 12 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

During the annual closing period of the bowling cafe as well as on certain holidays, the climbing gym remains closed.

Technical characteristics:
The climbing gym has been completed in 1997 and comprises about 70 sqm. The climbing wall is 8.5 metres high and features about 30 climbing routes (top rope climbing ropes) and about 1300 climbing holds. Complessively the facility includes 200 sqm.
