Wine and nature trail

Further information about vines in Cornaiano/Appiano

Along the so-called "Gschleier-Eck" in Cornaiano, there has been established a wine and nature trail in 2007. This trail provides information about different cultivation methods and varieties of grapes.
The millenial wine tradition is explained in 15 languages on different information panels. Of course the methods for the cultivation of vineyards are explained. The current cultivation methods are described and simplified so that all visitor understand that certain measures are necessary.

The wine and nature trail "Hoher Weg-Gschleier" could only be established thanks to the inhabitants' consent and the cooperation with the regional authorities.

Under the direction of the committee "Appiano Event Wine World Cornaiano" and in further cooperation with the Laimburg, the professional school for agriculture and a large number of volunteers, this project has been put in practice.

The wine hiking path is part of the project Wine-World-Cornaiano, which is aimed at revaluating the village in terms of tourism and agriculture.
