In Appiano and Caldaro many wineries have built up a reputation

The cellarers in Oltadige have always been active. The farmers started with the different winery co-ops. Numerous winegrowers merged to a large co-operation and established large wineries. They took on additional staff and concentrated on the cultivation of grapes and the wineries processed the vintage. Of course also marketing was, and is still, carried out by the farmes.

Since a few years many winegrowers have also got private wineries. They tried to find niches and to fill these with their products. And this initiative proved to be successful.
