Lakes of Monticolo

Bathing from April to October in the Monticolo Lakes

In the middle of the nature reserve of Monticolo and surrounded by a splendid pine and mixed forest, there are both the big and the small bathing lakes of Monticolo. Both invite you to stay and relax. Those who love the water and sun will enjoy this beautiful place.
If you do not want to jump into the cool water of the Lake you can choose the heated swimming pool “Lido Montiggler See”.

Enjoy lying on the large sunbathing area at the lake while your children enjoy splashing around in the water or along the longest water slide in South Tyrol. There is also a pool bar as well as a restaurant. In July and August your children are cared for by special staff who also offer animation for children.

Mummy and daddy will enjoy it for sure!

The origin of the Lakes of Monticolo and other similar places in the surroundings date back to the ice age. Moreover about 100 hectares of the forest of Monticolo, the lakes and the spring valley belong to a protected area.
